Impressionist Wine Bottle Painting

Impressionist Wine Bottle Painting

The program includes a short slide deck presentation with advice for best results, and, while the patrons get started, Lorrisa gives a brief overview of the Impressionists and an analysis of van Gogh’s Starry Night. The remaining 60-90 minutes is for the patrons to paint while listening to Impressionist music from the era. Lorrisa goes around to help, assure, and encourage the patrons, answering questions, and making sure they have everything they need to enjoy themselves and the process.

NOTE: Lorrisa can supply acrylic paint markers for up to 30 patrons for a small usage fee. She provides reference image photos. Library must provide bottles or ask patrons to bring their own (which they did at Green Hills.) This is a slightly less expensive option than the variation, Stained Glass Bottle Painting.

Stained Glass Bottle Painting

Developed thanks to a request from Villa Park Public Library! Your patrons will experience three unusual art mediums combined—using alcohol ink markers, to create the illusion of original stained glass designs on clear wine bottles. After patrons insert the LED string light corks, their objet d’art will glow from within. All without the danger, expense, and mess of traditional stained glass creation or alcohol ink. This is instructed and led by internationally displayed gallery artist Lorrisa Julianus, who paints live masterpieces at gala events for guests to enjoy. For the first part of the program, she gives a slidedeck presentation explaining the history of stained glass while the patrons work on their creations.

NOTE: Lorrisa can supply the alcohol markers needed for a small usage fee and she supplies links to other needed items that can be easily purchased by your library online—clear glass bottles and LED cork lights.
