Create & Learn: Egyptian Hieroglyphic Art
New for 2026!
The ultimate combo of historical lecture and papercraft art for up to 50 patrons
With her graphics-packed slideshow presentation, Lorrisa gives a brief history of Egyptology and the discovery and translation of the Rosetta Stone, and guides patrons through the basics of understanding Egyptian hieroglyphs—a complex system of phonetic sounds, logograms (word signs), and determinatives (contextual classifiers). She makes it easy for patrons to choose and understand the historically and linguistically accurate greeting they will choose for their gift bag (Thank You, Happy Birthday, Congratulations), and even easier to master painting the glyphs, since patrons will trace them onto parchment vellum from Lorrisa’s templates. Then they’ll use premium papercrafting materials to finish decorating their creation, a useful work of art perfect to keep or give away.
