History’s Mysteries
History’s Mysteries - Coincidences and True Crimes (show clip from premiere)
A game of musical chairs—Soviet style! In this segment, Lorrisa investigates Stalin’s last days as he lies sprawled on the floor of his hunting lodge. Was he poisoned by his besties? Lorrisa calls the fictional detective Charlie from NBC’s murder mystery show “Poker Face” to the satirical scene to sort out the truth. Oswego Public Library had a great turnout for this premiere of History’s Mysteries.
PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
What strange coincidences and unsolved murders shaped the world? You’ll be stunned by the stories you never learned in school—How did the plotted “murder” of Poland contribute to America winning its War of Independence? Was Stalin murdered by his closest buddies? And did John Wilkes Booth escape justice and wind up as a mummy in a traveling carnival?
